Swim camps are just that…a camp. Camps have overnight stay with chaperones and fun activities between swim sessions. The number of swimmers compared to coaching staff are higher, though campers learn a lot about swimming. It is just that: a camp. Most all swimmers stay overnight and typically the session runs from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with all meals provided.
Swim clinic are stroke-intensive learning experiences and are not overnight unlike camps. Clinics are designed for intensive swimming learning and not fun. Swim clinics are for serious swimmers. Clinics are local, run from 8 A.M. to (typically) 6 P.M. Parents are required to pick up swimmers at the end of each day.
